Students of Room 18 had a great day as they celebrated an awesome term by showing how they can all share and care.

Students brought food and shared the goodness. Sililo and Leki even brought ice cream and made a fantastic desert for everyone.

ROOM 18: Dance Performance Take 2!

The SPS Haka lead by Sione of Room 17
Room 18, along with all Te Manawa, showed the best of the best in modern dance as they performed to even more parents.

Te Manawa chose a selection of dances from the syndicate’s previous performances and rocked the SPS Hall.

All of Te Manawa's amazing students were involved, as everyone took part in the school haka and the Samoan sasa they had all learnt this term.


Team Superstar was chosen to represent Room 18 and be the main act, closing out the show!

All Room 18 hit the harlem shake!

Team Harlem Shake rocks the stage!


The awesome students of Room 18 put on a show, along with all of Te Manawa to show how much they’ve learnt in dance this term. 
Team Ghost rocks the robot!

The students didn’t just show how much they’ve learnt to dance, but how much they’ve learnt to put themselves into a place where they can show their amazingness to other people.
Team Superstar entertains!

The four groups; Team Superstar, Team Harlem Shake, Team Ghost, and Team FJ, all danced in front of a large group of parents.
Each team showed amazing ability and confidence!

Te Manawa had our annual speech contest this week, with only the best of the best entering.
Aifala stands tall,


Every student in Room 18 had to present a speech in class and show not only the quality of their writing but also their confidence. Every one of the Room 18’ers were awesome.

Alyssa speaks clearly.
Alyssa and Aifala were chosen to represent Room 18 and did so by showing their awesomeness by speaking confidently in front of their peers and teachers, and having the content to back it up. Both did amazingly well!

Sefa and Pacific Dance came back to SPS to lead all students in a mighty, whole-school sasa!

Sefa and Pacific Dance came to SPS to kindly spread the word of dance. 
All students at SPS are being taught the sasa, a traditional Samoan dance.
Sefa leads the dance!
The sasa is a dance that shows how students can all work together to make something amazing. It also has opened many students eyes to what dance can be. 
Awesome.
New horizons are always welcomed in Room 18.

Dance Continues!

Room 18’ers have taken to creating their own stage magic by choreographing their own dance in small groups.
 
Team Harlem Shake in action!
Each group has been choosing their own music, their own moves and choosing to show how dance can answer a question.
Stepping up, and Stepping out!

‘Team Harlem Shake’ is looking to answer the question, “How can dance make your dreams come true?” ‘Team Ghost’ is looking to show citizenship through dance, creating a fantastic level of inquiry synergy.
